Hope of the Nations

Hope of the Nations is a non-profit organization in Kigoma, Tanzania with a purpose of bringing hope to the nations through the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. One main goal is to raise up Tanzanians to be leaders and influencers for Jesus in their country. One of the many ways this is done is through the Hope of the Nations English Primary School that is 1/2 completed. Currently, K-5 is in operation with over 150 children, but more funds are needed to complete additional classrooms, bathrooms, and facilities.

Optional trip to Kigoma, Tanzania to visit Hope of the Nations ministry is available immediately after the climb for additional cost.

Goal for the trip

Each climber is encouraged to raise at least $2000 to go towards the construction of phase 2 and 3 of the Hope of the Nations English Primary School. One idea is to find 10+ people to sponsor you 1 penny per foot of elevation of Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft), which would equal about $193 per person. All donations are tax-deductible and checks can be made out to Hope of the Nations, with “Kilimanjaro Fundraiser + your name” written in the memo. Credit Card donations can be made through the Hope of the Nations website at

The climber who raises the most funds will receive a new North Face 0 degree sleeping bag to use on their Kilimanjaro climb!
